Commission a Portrait
What better way to preserve the memories of your loved ones than to have a portrait painted of them - whether in oils or in pastels, a fine art portrait is something for your family to cherish for many generations, literally an heirloom to be passed on to your children & grandchildren.
As an artist I pride myself on my ability to capture a good likeness of my subjects on canvas and paper, and to hopefully bring out the life and personality of the person i’m painting.

I only work in the finest materials to ensure a quality product rich in vibrant colour, and with a fade resistance that will enable the painting to continue nto give pleasure for many decades or even centuries to come.

Please note: the above prices are approximate only and are for one person in the painting only.
There is an extra charge of 50% for each additional person in the painting so for example a 16” x 12” with three sitters would cost £200, £100 for the first sitter and then an additional £50 for each of the two extra sitters (this applies to pets in the painting too)
A Deposit of 50% of the agreed price would be required before work commences to secure the painting
I usually work from photo’s so there is no need for the discomfort of sitting still for hours on end while the painting is done - I can work from existing professional quality photo’s if needed but its better if I can take the reference photo’s myself as it allows me to get a properly lit photograph (and just as importantly to get to know the sitter better) However I do realize that this is not always practical or even possible.

Tip: if you do get a photo done professionally yourself, avoid the type of photo’s created by places like Venture with the white backgrounds and high key lighting, these may look really good as photo’s but as references for painting are too blown out to be a great deal of use.
